534 Ashbury Street, San Francisco, California

The entire top floor of 534 Ashbury is one flat.  Typical of the Victorian-era design, the flat posed some difficulties for 21st century living.  We remodeled the residence throughout to provide larger, more efficient closets, closed off connecting doors to create useful bedrooms, added full bathrooms, and opened up the kitchen to the new family room by removing the dividing wall.  More mundane, but equally as important, we upgraded the heating system, electrical service, and provided telephone and cable outlets throughout.  The final outcome of this design is a bright, clean, space with all of the expected modern conveniences.
